Typically, a pornography scene ends at an orgasm. As a director and editor of this film, I could have ended the film in a similar way by manipulating a pseudo-orgasm. But that is not what happened. When we shot Cosmic Touch, Lillian felt a variety of emotions. She worked her way through tears, and beyond that, elation. It was difficult to shoot. Cassandra and I had no idea if she would make it to the other-side. We held space with our cameras, trusting in the process. Together, we all found our way through. Cosmic Touch fearlessly shows both the ecstasy and horror, the pleasure and the pain, that Lillian experienced.
